For the best safety and comfort, Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest recommends wearing light, breathable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for the unique sand-based forest floor of Auckland’s west coast. As New Zealand’s leader in professional paintball, we provide premium protective gear to every player as standard.
Expert Clothing Recommendations
-
Base Layers: We recommend wearing light, “old” clothes—such as a t-shirt and gym shorts or leggings—underneath the combat suit we provide. This allows for maximum movement during high-energy games and prevents overheating.
-
The Delta Force Combat Suit: Every player is issued a full-length, professional combat suit with an integrated padded neck collar to protect you from the elements and paint.
-
Footwear: Because our centre is located in the rugged Woodhill Forest, sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip are essential. We highly recommend hiking boots or well-worn running shoes. Note: For safety reasons, sandals, flip-flops, and gumboots (which lack ankle support) are not permitted on the field.
Essential Gear & Extras
-
World-Class Safety Kit: Your admission includes our industry-leading safety equipment: full-head goggles with a 360-degree wrap-around protection system and bespoke body armour to protect the torso.
-
Post-Game Essentials: We strongly suggest bringing a towel and a full change of clothes for the journey home. After a session in the forest, you’ll appreciate fresh gear for the drive back to Auckland CBD.
-
Payment Methods: Our on-site base camp kiosk accepts credit/debit cards (PIN-verified) and cash for purchasing snacks, chilled drinks, extra ammunition, or tactical upgrades like armored gloves and groin guards.
Pro-Tip from our Woodhill Centre Manager:
Woodhill Forest can be significantly cooler than the city in winter and quite dusty in the summer. We recommend bringing an “esky” (chilli bin) with plenty of water to stay hydrated between games like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. If you wear glasses, our goggles are designed to fit over most frames, but a sports strap can help keep them secure during a “Jungle Attack.”
