A morning or afternoon session is available at most of our centres. Centres, operating times differ – please contact our booking office for more details.
The games go ahead regardless, in all weather conditions. All the game zones are outdoors, but there are sheltered areas and lockers in the base camp where you can store your gear between games.
To avoid getting lost we suggest you make sure all drivers in your group print the directions from the website and take these with them. Our directions are for guidance only, we recommend using a road map for more precise directions. If you do have trouble finding the centre, call us on 1300 785 766 one of our friendly staff will assist you in finding your centre.
You can make your booking now for the players that you have confirmed, assuring you your desired game date. You can then add additional players onto your booking up until a few days before your event.
You are also more than welcome to walk on and we will place you into a group
There is no minimum or maximum number of required players; any group size is fine. However there may be a minimum number of players required to open the site if no other groups are booked in for the time and day you request. You will need 20 players to form your own team and if you book a game of 40 players then you can secure your own private game.
All players are required to complete a registration form before they begin play.
On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in. After you have filled out registration forms you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and undergo a compulsory safety briefing. Then the action starts! You will play 6 varied games during a sessions, with short refreshment breaks in between to reload your paintballs and discuss tactics!
No alcohol is permitted on site. Any players who have been drinking or using illegal substances will be excluded from the games and asked to leave the centre.
There is a snack shop onsite where you can purchase chocolates, drinks and more. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink.
Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, there are occasionally groups of mixed ages when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in etc.
The minimum paintball age in New Zealand is 10 years old.
The minimum age to play MiniBall in New Zealand is 7 years old and the maximum age as 9.
Parents need to know about the nature of the activity and decide for themselves whether their particular child is hardy, and mature enough to participate in paintball. To help you with this, we have compiled an ‘Information for Parents’ guide, which will be included in your information pack or requested from our friendly staff.
Delta Force Paintball also offers MiniBall, a specially developed version of paintball for younger people, for players of ages 7-9.
There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use but a good indication is about 200 paintballs per game zone. You can decide how many game zones you play and further paintballs are available to purchase on the day at your discretion.
For health and safety reasons, and to maintain a consistent safety standard across all centres, you can only use paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event. Any unused paintballs can not be carried forward to a future event.
You’re free to use your own paintball goggles, combat suits and markers on the day. However due to H & S regulations the markers have to run off Delta Force air bottles. The marshals fill the air bottles to 3000 PSI after each double game (about 30 minutes of action). You will have more than enough gas to get you through the games.
The manager will do a quick check on the marker to make sure they satisfy H & S guidelines, and after that we will chronograph the marker to make sure it’s firing below 300 FPS. They’ll also need to check your firearms licence and from there you are free to use the marker throughout the day.
We operate a strict ‘no guns in the base camp’ policy, however your gun will be safely racked in our gun zone and you’ll be able to do any maintenance in between games if it’s required.
We do NOT allow any customers’ own gas cylinders on site for ANY REASON.
We recommend players wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game. The most suitable footwear would be a light boot, with deep tread and ankle support, but old trainers are most commonly worn. Full head protection goggles, body armour and combat suit with high padded collar are included in your admission. Paintball gloves and groin guards are available to buy at the centre, or you can bring your own. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs.
