No. There are no strict height or weight restrictions to play at Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest. We aim to make paintball accessible to everyone; however, players should consider the following:

  • Equipment & Sizing: Our combat suits and padded body armour are highly adjustable. we stock a wide range of sizes to ensure a comfortable fit for most body types.

  • Physical Requirements: Players must be able to move independently and safely through uneven forest terrain. The game involves walking, crouching, and navigating forest trails.

  • Woodhill Pro-Tip: If you have specific concerns regarding sizing or physical accessibility, please contact our team on 0800 850 744. We are happy to discuss your requirements to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable day in the forest.

While we occasionally accept last-minute bookings, we highly recommend booking at least 10–14 days in advance, especially for Saturdays and Sundays, which frequently sell out.

At Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest, we cater to groups of all sizes. Whether you are coming alone or bringing a squad, you can always get in on the action. Your level of exclusivity is based on your final headcount:

  • Dedicated Teams (20+ Players): If you have a group of 20 or more, you will have enough players to form your own dedicated team to play together against other teams throughout the day.

  • Private Games (40+ Players): To secure a Private Game—which grants your group exclusive use of the game zones with your own dedicated marshals and no outside players—a minimum of 40 prepaid players is required.

  • Woodhill Pro-Tip: If you are aiming for a private game but are slightly short on numbers, call our New Zealand booking office on 0800 850 744. We can check the schedule and help you find the best session structure to suit your group’s needs.

At Delta Force Paintball, your comfort and safety are our highest priorities. While you may feel a slight “sting” similar to a quick flick of a rubber band, our industry-leading safety gear is specifically designed to minimize impact and maximize fun.

To ensure a comfortable and safe experience at Woodhill Forest, we provide:

  • .50 Calibre Technology: We use a smaller, lighter calibre of paintball. This reduces impact energy by approximately 60% compared to traditional paintball centres, making the game much more approachable and less painful for everyone.

  • Bespoke Body Armour: Our custom-designed plates protect the torso, significantly absorbing the feel of any impact. This is provided to all players as standard.

  • Full-Body Combat Suits: These durable suits feature integrated padded neck collars for extra protection in sensitive areas.

  • Full-Head Goggle Systems: Unlike standard goggles used elsewhere, our systems wrap entirely around the head, providing 360-degree protection for the ears, temples, and face.

  • Professional Marshalling: Our marshals strictly enforce a “3-metre distance rule” on the field, ensuring no one is shot from close range.

  • Woodhill Pro-Tip: We recommend wearing loose, breathable clothing (like gym gear or light cargos) underneath your combat suit. This adds an extra buffer and allows for a full range of motion while running through the forest. For those wanting maximum protection, armoured gloves are available at our on-site kiosk to protect your hands.

No. While the group Organiser typically secures the date with an initial booking, we can often arrange for individual players to pay for their own packs. Please speak with our event coordinators at 0800 850 744 to discuss the best way to manage your group’s payments.

Yes! We provide the perfect space for your group to refuel and celebrate. Whether you are hosting a birthday party or a corporate team-building day, here is how to plan your lunch at our Woodhill Forest HQ:

  • Undercover Base Camp: Our Woodhill Forest centre features a large, sheltered base camp with picnic-style seating. This serves as your home base where you can relax, eat, and talk tactics between missions.

  • BYO Food & Hydration: We encourage all players to bring their own packed lunches and plenty of water. Paintball is physically demanding, and staying hydrated is essential for a great day in the forest.

  • Birthday Cakes & Celebrations: Planning a birthday? You are more than welcome to bring a cake! Our base camp is the ideal spot to celebrate and sing “Happy Birthday” once the gear is safely stored.

  • On-Site Refreshments: If you need a quick energy boost, our on-site kiosk stocks cold drinks, chips, and chocolate bars to keep you going between games.

  • Pizza Delivery: You are welcome to organize external delivery (such as pizza) to the centre. Since we are located within the forest, please ensure you coordinate with the driver to meet them at the designated arrival point.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: We recommend having light snacks during game breaks and saving your main lunch for after your final mission. This keeps everyone light on their feet for the high-energy games in the Woodhill terrain!

While spectators are not permitted on the active field for safety reasons, our base camp features sheltered seating where parents and friends can relax and meet players during breaks.

Yes. Free on-site parking is available, though spaces can be limited during peak periods. We strongly recommend carpooling where possible.

All prepayments and paintball allocations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a player fails to attend on your scheduled date, their individual prepayment and paintball credits are forfeited and cannot be used by other members of the group.

Why this policy exists: We staff our centres and prepare equipment based on your confirmed player count. To ensure you have the best experience, we recommend only prepaying for players who have 100% confirmed their attendance. You can always add more players to your booking up until a few days before your event.

We offer morning and afternoon sessions. Operating times vary by season; please contact our booking office at 0800 850 744 for specific times on your chosen date.

Yes! Paintball is an all-weather outdoor sport, and our sessions proceed in almost all weather conditions. In fact, many players find that a bit of rain adds an extra layer of tactical challenge and atmospheric excitement to the Woodhill Forest bush terrain.

Our centre is fully equipped to ensure your group has a world-class experience, regardless of the elements:

  • Sheltered Base Camp: Our Woodhill Forest location features a large, undercover base camp area designed to keep your group dry and comfortable between missions.

  • Secure Lockers: We provide on-site lockers to ensure your dry clothes, electronics, and valuables remain protected while you are out on the field.

  • Weather & Safety Policy: Cancellations are extremely rare. A session will only be postponed if the Centre Manager deems conditions (such as lightning or extreme gale-force winds) unsafe for players or staff.

  • Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that a session cannot proceed due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or “Force Majeure Events” (circumstances beyond reasonable human control), Delta Force Paintball  reserves the right to issue a full-value credit for the booking instead of a refund. This credit will be valid for a future booking and may be used by the original customer or transferred to another person, subject to availability.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: If rain is forecast, we highly recommend bringing a towel and a complete change of clothes (including spare socks!) to leave in your car. Because we are in a forest, the ground can get a bit muddy—having a dry set of clothes for the drive home makes a huge difference!

To ensure your session starts on time, we recommend using the following tools to help you locate our Woodhill Forest entrance easily. Standard GPS can sometimes lead you to a general forest boundary rather than our specific gate, so please follow these steps:

  • Search for the Brand Directly: If you are using Google Maps or Apple Maps, searching for “Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest” is significantly more accurate than entering a general street address.

  • Use Your Booking Confirmation: Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing a map and specific directions. We strongly recommend sharing this with every driver in your group before you set off.

  • GPS Caution: While GPS is helpful, forest entrances can be discreet. Please cross-reference your navigation with our specific directions to ensure you reach the correct access point within Woodhill Forest.

  • Live Support: If you are struggling to find us on the day, please call our coordination team on 0800 850 744. Our team can provide immediate guidance to ensure you reach the base camp safely.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: We recommend aiming to arrive at least 15–20 minutes before your scheduled arrival time. This allows for unexpected traffic on State Highway 16 and ensures your group has plenty of time to park and check in before the compulsory safety briefing begins.

Yes! We recommend booking for your minimum confirmed players as early as possible. Woodhill Forest is one of the most popular paintball destinations in Auckland, and session spots fill up quickly—especially on weekends.

  • Secure Your Date: Booking for your core group now ensures you don’t miss out on your desired date and session time. It’s much better to lock in a slot for 10 people now than to wait for 20 and find the day is fully booked.

  • Add Players Later: You are welcome to add more players to your booking up until a few days before your event. Simply call our New Zealand coordination team on 0800 850 744 to check availability, and we will do our best to accommodate the extra players.

  • Stress-Free Planning: Don’t let a few “maybe” responses hold up the entire group. Locking in the confirmed players now officially starts the countdown to game day and often encourages the “maybes” to commit!

  • Woodhill Pro-Tip: Demand for our forest game zones is high. We suggest booking for your “definites” today, then sending a “final call” to the rest of your group once the date is officially locked in. You can easily manage any additions with a quick call to our team on 0800 850 744.

Yes! We welcome walk-on players at Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest. If you drop in, our onsite staff will aim to match you with an existing group so you can get straight into the action.

To ensure you have the best experience on the day, we recommend the following:

  • Check Daily Availability: Before you head out, give our New Zealand booking office a quick call on 0800 850 744. We can confirm the best arrival times for the Woodhill Forest centre and ensure there are no private events currently occupying the game zones.

  • Peak Weekend Tips: Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days. We prioritize players with existing bookings, so calling ahead helps you avoid a potential wait in the base camp for the next available session.

  • MiniBall Equipment (Ages 7+): If you are interested in MiniBall, pre-booking is essential. Because this low-impact version of the game uses specialized, lightweight equipment, sets are limited. Please call our 0800 number to confirm availability at the Woodhill Forest location before traveling.

  • Local Pro-Tip: Most players at Woodhill Forest book in advance to secure their preferred time slots. A quick phone call before you leave home ensures that we have your gear prepped and a session waiting for you the moment you arrive!

At Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest, we accommodate groups of all sizes—from individual players to large corporate events. Your group size simply determines how your session is structured:

  • Small Groups & Solo Players: There is no minimum number required to book. If you have a small group, we will match you with other players of similar age and ability to ensure a high-energy, competitive atmosphere.

  • Forming Your Own Team: If you bring 20 or more players, you will typically have enough people to form your own dedicated team to compete against other groups.

  • Private Game Requirements: To secure a Private Game (where your group plays exclusively on the game zones with dedicated marshals), a minimum of 40 prepaid players is required.

  • Centre Opening Minimums: While we accept all group sizes, the centre requires a minimum total number of players across all combined bookings to open on a specific day. If your requested date hasn’t met this threshold, our team will contact you to discuss the best alternative times.

  • Organizer Pro-Tip: Don’t wait for a final headcount to secure your spot. Book for your “definites” now to lock in the date, then add extra players later by calling 0800 850 744 (subject to gear availability).

Yes. To comply with safety regulations and ensure a smooth start to your day, all players are required to complete an online registration form before arriving at the Woodhill Forest centre.

  • Under 16s: Players under the age of 16 must have their registration form completed and signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Group Tip: To get your team onto the battlefield as quickly as possible, we recommend sending the registration link to your entire group via your digital invitations or group chat. This allows our staff to have your gear ready the moment you check in.

  • Accessing the Link: Your unique group registration link is provided in your booking confirmation email. If you cannot find it, please contact our booking office on 0800 850 744, and we can resend it to you.

  • Why Online? Completing this online ensures we don’t have crowds gathering in the base camp filling out paperwork, meaning more time for you to spend out in the game zones!

From the moment you arrive at Woodhill Forest, our team ensures your experience is professional, safe, and high-energy. A typical session follows this itinerary:

  • Arrival & Registration: You will be greeted at our forest base camp for check-in. To ensure a fast-track entry and maximize your time on the field, please ensure all players have completed their online registration forms before arriving at the centre.

  • Kitting Up: Once checked in, you will be issued your professional-grade gear, including a full-head goggle system, bespoke body armour, and a full-body combat suit with a padded neck collar.

  • Compulsory Safety Briefing: Before the action begins, all players must attend a professional safety briefing. This covers marker handling, game zone rules, and our strict safety protocols to ensure everyone has a safe and exciting day.

  • The Action Starts: You will head out into the forest to take on our world-class themed game zones. You will typically play 4–6 varied missions per session, each featuring unique objectives— From retrieving the ancient artefacts in Resident Evil to storming the Tropic Thunder village.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: The forest trails leading to our base camp can take a few extra minutes to navigate. We recommend aiming to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to get your group through registration and kitting up without rushing. If you need directions on the day, call our team on 0800 850 744.

No. Delta Force Paintball operates a strict zero-alcohol policy at all our centres nationwide to ensure the safety of all players and staff.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone, please note:

  • No Alcohol On-Site: Alcohol is strictly prohibited at our centres, including in the base camp and car park areas.

  • Sobriety Policy: Any player found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will be excluded from play immediately.

  • No Refunds: In the interest of safety, anyone asked to leave the premises due to intoxication will not be eligible for a refund.

  • National Pro-Tip: We recommend saving the celebrations for after your session! There are many great local venues near our centres where you can enjoy a drink once the gear is handed back and the games are over.

To help you plan your day at Woodhill Forest effectively, please note our food and beverage options:

  • On-site Kiosk: Our base camp features a snack shop where you can purchase chocolates, crisps (chips), and a variety of chilled soft drinks and energy drinks to keep you hydrated between games.

  • BYO Food & Drink: You are more than welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks! We provide plenty of undercover seating and picnic tables in our base camp for your group to enjoy a DIY lunch between missions.

  • No On-site Catering: Please note that Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest does not offer on-site catering or hot food preparation.

    • Independent Delivery: You are welcome to arrange your own external food delivery (such as pizza) to the centre entrance. Please ensure you are available to meet the driver at the main gate.

  • Alcohol Policy: We maintain a strict no-alcohol policy. For safety reasons, no alcohol is permitted on-site, and anyone suspected of being under the influence will not be allowed to play.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: We recommend bringing a portable chilly bin (cooler) with plenty of water, sports drinks, and a hearty team lunch. Most groups find that a DIY picnic is the easiest and most reliable way to fuel their day in the forest!

At Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest, we prioritize a balanced, fair, and age-appropriate experience for all our players.

  • Age-Matched Groups: Whenever possible, we match groups with other players of a similar age and experience level. This ensures that a group of 8-year-olds isn’t on the field competing against a high-energy corporate team.

  • Family Flexibility: You may occasionally see mixed-age groups on the field. This usually happens when parents or older siblings choose to play alongside younger family members—a popular choice for family birthday celebrations.

  • Strict Supervision: Regardless of the age mix, every game is strictly supervised by our professional marshals. They enforce a “no-contact” distance rule and ensure a fun, inclusive environment for everyone.

  • MiniBall Exclusivity (Ages 7–9): Our MiniBall sessions are specifically designed for our youngest players. These games are played with specialized equipment and are typically limited to peers and accompanying adults to keep the environment low-pressure and high-fun.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: Because MiniBall (Ages 7–9) uses specialized, lightweight gear, we have a limited number of sets available per session. To avoid disappointment, we recommend calling us on 0800 850 744 to pre-book your equipment as early as possible.

The minimum age to play paintball in New Zealand is generally younger than in other regions, making it a favorite for family outings and school groups.

  • MiniBall (Ages 7–9): A specialized low-impact version of the game designed for younger players. It uses smaller, spring-powered markers that are easy for kids to handle.

  • Standard Paintball (Ages 10+): Our standard games use .50 calibre technology, which is perfect for players aged 10 and up.

  • Parental Consent: All players under the age of 16 must have a registration form completed by a parent or guardian before they can take to the field.

New Zealand Pro-Tip: To ensure your group gets straight onto the field, we recommend having all parents complete the online registration form before your game day. If you’re organizing a birthday party, you can easily share your unique registration link via a group chat or email—this avoids any check-in delays at the location and maximizes your actual game time!

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest is specifically designed to be accessible for beginners and younger players. We provide a highly regulated environment with world-class safety equipment and professional supervision.

  • Standard Paintball (Ages 10+): Our standard games use .50 calibre technology, which reduces the force of impact by 60% compared to traditional paintball, making it much more comfortable for beginners and children.

Safety Standards for Parents:

  • Full-Head Protection: Every player is equipped with a goggle system that provides 360-degree protection to the head, face, and ears.

  • Body Armour: We provide custom-fitted padded body armour to all players as standard to protect the torso.

  • Professional Supervision: All games are led by trained marshals who enforce strict safety rules and a “no-contact” distance policy.

  • Parental Guide: We encourage parents to review our “Information for Parents” guide (available in your booking pack or upon request) to help determine if their child is mature enough for the activity.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: If you are booking for a younger group, we recommend MiniBall as the perfect starting point. Contact our team on 0800 850 744 to check availability for MiniBall sessions on your preferred date.

There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use but a good indication is about 200 paintballs per game zone. You can decide how many game zones you play and further paintballs are available to purchase on the day at your discretion.

No. For safety and environmental reasons, only paintballs supplied by Delta Force Paintball on the day of your event are permitted for use at our Woodhill Forest centre.

To maintain our high standards and protect the forest environment, we enforce the following policies:

  • Environmental Protection: Our Woodhill Forest centre is located in a sensitive bushland setting. We are strictly committed to using only high-quality, fully biodegradable paintballs that are non-toxic and safe for the local New Zealand ecosystem.

  • Impact Safety: We ensure our paintballs are stored in climate-controlled conditions so they remain “frangible” (meaning they break consistently on impact). External paintballs can become brittle or dangerously hard if stored incorrectly, posing a significant safety risk to other players.

  • No “Bring Backs”: To maintain our safety guarantee, paintballs that have been taken off-site cannot be brought back for future use. Once paint leaves our controlled environment, we can no longer verify its quality, caliber, or safety.

  • Woodhill Pro-Tip: Our centre uses specialized .50 calibre markers. Using our site-issued paintballs ensures your gear performs at its best with the correct calibre for a smoother, more accurate, and more enjoyable game!

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own gear to Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest; however, all equipment is subject to a safety inspection and the final approval of the Centre Manager.

Paintball Markers

To use your own marker, it must meet the following criteria and be cleared by our staff:

  • Licensing & Law: In New Zealand, paintball markers are classified as airguns. You must comply with the NZ Arms Act, including age restrictions (18+ or 16+ with a firearms license).

  • Calibre & Speed: We exclusively use .50 Calibre markers. Your equipment must be .50 Calibre and pass a chronograph test on-site to ensure it fires at a safe velocity (typically below 280-300 FPS).

  • Air Systems: For safety and insurance reasons, we do not allow players to bring their own gas cylinders or scuba tanks on-site. Your marker must be compatible with Delta Force air bottles (3000 PSI), which are refilled by our marshals during the day.

Goggles & Combat Suits

You may use your own paintball-specific goggles and combat suits, provided they meet the following:

  • They must be designed specifically for paintball (no motocross or ski goggles).

  • The lens and frame must not be modified in any way.

  • They must pass a safety inspection by our team upon arrival to ensure they meet international safety standards.

Paintballs

For health, safety, and environmental protection of the Woodhill Forest ecosystem, only paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event may be used. External paintballs are strictly prohibited.

Base Camp Safety

We operate a strict “No Markers in Base Camp” policy. When not in active play, your equipment must remain safely racked in our designated Gun Zone with barrel socks/plugs inserted.

For the best safety and comfort while navigating the forest terrain, we recommend the following:

  • Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots with good grip are essential. The forest floor can be uneven or damp, so old trainers/sneakers are suitable, but jandals, sandals, or flip-flops are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

  • Clothing: Wear light, breathable “old” clothes (such as a t-shirt and gym shorts or leggings) underneath the full-body combat suit we provide. You will likely get warm once the action starts!

  • Personal Items: We recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel for the drive home, especially if it has been raining in the forest.

  • Payment Methods: Our on-site kiosk accepts EFTPOS, credit/debit cards, and cash for purchasing extra paintballs, snacks, or optional upgrades like armoured gloves and groin guards.

Included Equipment: Your admission includes world-class safety gear: full-head goggles, bespoke padded body armour, and a full-body combat suit with an integrated padded neck collar.

Woodhill Pro-Tip: Because Woodhill is a working forest, the ground can stay damp under the trees even on sunny days. We suggest bringing a spare pair of socks and a plastic bag for your forest-worn shoes to keep your car clean after the session!
