Can I bring my own paintball marker or equipment?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own gear to Delta Force Paintball Woodhill Forest; however, all equipment is subject to a safety inspection and the final approval of the Centre Manager.

Paintball Markers

To use your own marker, it must meet the following criteria and be cleared by our staff:

  • Licensing & Law: In New Zealand, paintball markers are classified as airguns. You must comply with the NZ Arms Act, including age restrictions (18+ or 16+ with a firearms license).

  • Calibre & Speed: We exclusively use .50 Calibre markers. Your equipment must be .50 Calibre and pass a chronograph test on-site to ensure it fires at a safe velocity (typically below 280-300 FPS).

  • Air Systems: For safety and insurance reasons, we do not allow players to bring their own gas cylinders or scuba tanks on-site. Your marker must be compatible with Delta Force air bottles (3000 PSI), which are refilled by our marshals during the day.

Goggles & Combat Suits

You may use your own paintball-specific goggles and combat suits, provided they meet the following:

  • They must be designed specifically for paintball (no motocross or ski goggles).

  • The lens and frame must not be modified in any way.

  • They must pass a safety inspection by our team upon arrival to ensure they meet international safety standards.

Paintballs

For health, safety, and environmental protection of the Woodhill Forest ecosystem, only paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event may be used. External paintballs are strictly prohibited.

Base Camp Safety

We operate a strict “No Markers in Base Camp” policy. When not in active play, your equipment must remain safely racked in our designated Gun Zone with barrel socks/plugs inserted.
